These shorts are cotton-based (95%) with a touch of spandex (5%) which gives you a nice, breathable short with a little stretch. The waist is elastic with a drawcord (same waistband as the drawcord pant by Danskin) and they have scoop pockets. They also wear well over lycra bike shorts!
